I am greatly enjoying the start of my second year as Section President. We are a growing section and are welcoming some returning members to our Board. At each of our meetings I am reminded that we are a group of professionals dedicated to providing the best service and assistance to all of our students. As a Board, we are looking for better ways to communicate with and provide up-to-date relevant information to our members. I am excited for the wonderful projects that will come to fruition this year. For all of your hard work and dedication I sincerely thank you!
You all ROCK!
Delta Sierra has the great honor of hosting the 2017 CASCWA State Conference, Finding Clarity and Thriving Within Multi-Tiered Systems of Student Support, in stunning Tahoe City, California. The Granlibakken Hotel and Conference Center will provide us a relaxed yet invigorating location for conference attendees to absorb everything Child Welfare related while also savoring natures beauty. We will host a hospitality hour during our Wednesday evening activities and during the Presidents Reception on Thursday. We are looking for some fantastic raffle prizes for you to enjoy. Meals and snack breaks are being coordinated to ensure maximum satisfaction. After all, the Granlibakken is known for providing their guest with great food. We will see you all on April 19, 20, & 21, 2017 at the Granlibakken.
Thank you San Joaquin, Southern and Bay Section. I really appreciate your openness in providing resources, ideas, and expertise as Delta Sierra moves forward. I am extremely pleased to belong to an organization that models Passion, Experience, Commitment, Professional Skills, Attentiveness, Toughness and Collegiality.

Sincerely,
Gricelda Cardenas
Delta Sierra President
